Every organisation has a growing number of applications used by its users to perform their jobs.  Most have applications made up of bespoke developments, 'end-user' developed applications, COTS (Commercial Off The Shelf) such as desktop applications like Microsoft Office, Email, Project Tools, and LOB (Line of Business) such as ERP and finance systems.  Today this can be added to through web-based and cloud-based systems.  Although there are management tools to Audit these applications, for control and licensing most organisations have nothing to capture the applications at a business level.  The Application Register is a web-based application that enables organisations to record details of applications within your environment to increase control and visibility of your application portfolio.
